What this elegant toothbrush cap allows is for your teeth cleaner to be safely protected without taking up extra space while you travel. The majority of cases for oral hygiene implements are bulky, since they often cover the entire item from the head to the tip of the handle.

NIL Travel Toothbrush

Cedes Milano’s Travel Toothbrush Holder comprises a tempered glass capsule with a chrome lid on a hinge. The piece is impeccably crafted from fine materials, qualifying it as a luxury toiletry accessory.

To use it, slide the bristled end of your pearly whites polisher into the toothbrush cap and then shut the little stopper. You’re left with a clear view of your utensil, making it easy to discern if either needs a clean.

Toronto apparel brand Muttonhead has been steadily making a name for itself as one of Canada’s top ethical and sustainable fashion retailers. Muttonhead specializes in “slow design” as a counter-movement to the rise of fad-focused, disposable “fast fashion.” Rather than outsourcing its business, Muttonhead achieves a more ethical form of production by manufacturing all of their clothing in Toronto, while enforcing quality control and fair trade practices. The company even develops several of its own types of fabric, all of which are milled in Toronto as well.

Another unique aspect of Muttonhead’s approach is the focus on unisex clothing. The brand focuses on timeless, rather than fad designs, which appeal to both men and women alike. Founder Meg Sinclair explains that she wanted to create a lifestyle brand that produces timeless, high-quality outerwear “for the everyday adventurer”, regardless of their gender. Her efforts herald a new approach to fashion design that focuses on sustainability and quality, over globalized, disposable fashion.

This unique, upscale natural water purifier system is a stunning minimalist design that fuses the worlds of sustainable water intake and cutting edge design.
NIL Water Purifier
Available from Danish charcoal product purveyors Sort of Coal, the stunning glass one-liter water bottle comes with a stick of Kishu Binchotan, a Japanese variety of charcoal that dates back to the Edo period and originates in the Kishu region. Kishu Binchotan is cultivated by artisans in the Kishu region, who transform raw wood into the highly value final product by burning it at insanely high temperatures and then burying the flaming wood in the dirt, a process that carbonizes the wood.

This high-end, modern iteration of an ancient technology is a stylized reinterpretation of an important hard wording natural mineral.

I have never owned a red bag. As my birthday neared I made the decision to pick this little lady up to carry around in Manhattan over the weekend. I have to say I made an excellent choice. Kira fits a great deal and still looks sleek and city ready. I love the color, Massai, a deep orange-red, as well as the saffiano leather, made for those of us who aren’t so gentle with our bags & clutches. Mini bags, with a punch, are on trend this spring. What are you carrying in yours?

Azealia Banks may be a bitch. But she’s a talented writer and sticks to her guns and well, you have to give her that.

Here’s a write up for her new interactive music video for “Wallace” off of her album, “Broke with Expensive Taste” (How could you not love her?)

Wallace Azealia NIL

Azealia Banks is no stranger to creative music videos and she’s continuing to push boundaries with the tech-y new video for Wallace. The Broke With Expensive Taste single sees a collaboration with a tech company called Collins, using Google technology for this webcam-driven interactive film.

The Nick Ace and Rob Soucy-directed clip is only vieweable on Chrome and features nifty motion-capture technology that allows you to insert your own image into the music video. When you move, so does Banks. Pretty impressive right?

“I’m such a huge fan of technology and creative new ways of interacting and engaging with fans, so this collaboration was perfect for me,” Banks said. “Music videos are as much of an art form as the music itself. The more I can push myself in my creative endeavors, the better.”

“Working side by side with this incredible team of tech-creatives was a truly unique and enjoyable experience, and I’m thrilled to be part of a potentially groundbreaking new ‘norm’ in the future of making music videos.”

While the controversial rapper may be taking a social media break for Lent, this interactive clip will probably keep us going while she rids herself of any lingering Twitter woes – well, we hope.

When I entered my late 20’s I started to really take a good look at my skin and my skin care routine. I’ve always adjusted what I purchased for my age and skin type. But as I got older, the more I found what didn’t work versus what did and would. I became more determined than ever to find my personal “holy grail” of skincare. Not ready to go under the knife or the needle, I started trying it all. Much to my husbands amusement, a quick trip to Target turned into a 30 minute field trip to the beauty section. When I couldn’t find what I needed, I scoured the internet for it. Usually winding up at Sephora. With their selection of everything from cheap makeup sponges to $600 curling irons, I quickly became a Sephora VIB Rouge member.

Lets get this clear now, I am by no means a professional MUA or highly experienced in professional beauty, but I can proudly see that my research has paid off, so much so that I wanted to share my own successful combination of products and routines.

My daily routine is based on a very loose (very, very loose) interpretation of a Korean skincare routine. Along with eating well, staying hydrated and working out, I’ve been able to maintain my results.

*Note that I use a lot of Peter Thomas Roth (PTR). While I’m faithful to products that work I’m not brand fixated. If a product is no longer effective I will search for another brand.

AM Routine

  1. PTR- Rose Stem Cell Bio Repair Cleansing Gel (Applied with fingers and wiped off with a wash cloth)
  2.  PTR-Un-Wrinkle®  Peel Pads (20 count) *Bi-Monthly or PTR Blemish Buffing Beads (I wouldn’t recommend both in the same sitting)
  3. PTR- Glycolic Acid 10% Toning Complex Clarifying Toner (This will burn a bit you can neutralize the acid with plain water if it’s too much)
  4. PTR- Oilless Oil 100% Purified Squalane (AM: 3 drops/ PM: 5 drops)
  5. PTR- Peter Thomas Roth Un-Wrinkle® Lip
  6.  Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 in Dark

I apply my “daily” makeup after this or I will simply bronze my face and go. I don’t do touch ups during the day unless I’m wearing lipstick, then I apply as needed.

PM Routine

  1. Boscia – Makeup Breakup Cooling Cleansing oil
  2. Steps 1-5 from above followed by a mask. I use one of the following depending on the condition of my skin at the time:

I’ve been trying different brands of AM/PM eye cream and when I find “the one” this will be updated.

Always:

Wash your face. Clogged, nasty pores and oily “day after” makeup isn’t sexy and can eventually lead to less sex. Change your pillow cases. Often! AND Drink H2O, water, auga, l’eau or whatever you want to call it. Seriously, don’t fight me on this.

If possible add biotin to your daily viatamin or suppliment routine. I personally use the Phytophanere Duo (4 month supply) by Phyto. While some complain of breakouts and oily skin I only experienced this briefly and mostly when I was putting too much oil on my face in the morning.

Thats it. Cheers to you and your naturally glowing face this summer. Have a favorite step to your personal routine? Share it with us!

NIL: VZ Vanity in the height of winter.

It’s been the worst type of winter.

Colder than usual with unpredictable storms and wind, so much wind. Right now I’m grateful for Peter Thomas Roth skin care line (yes, the entire line) and Smashbox BB cream in Dark, for keeping my skin on the up n’ up.  Water, rest and biotin should get me to spring.
